Aleph Tav Alert: Y’Hoshua

Y’HOSHUA

(Joshua)

The Historical Books are Y’hoshua, Judges, Ruth, First Samuel, Second Samuel, First Kings, Second Kings, First Chronicles, Second Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. The word Y’hoshua (Joshua) means Yah is Salvation. The Book of Y’hoshua does not explicitly name its author but Jewish traditions claim that Y’hoshua the son of Nun, the successor of Moses as leader over Israel, penned much of this book. The latter part of the book was written by at least one other person after the death of Y’hoshua and it is also possible that several sections were edited or compiled after Y’hoshua’s death as well. The Book of Y’hoshua was most likely written between 1400 and 1370 B.C.

Aleph/Tav ALERT: Most of what can be said about the placement of the Aleph/Tav את Symbol in the book of Y’hoshua is already found in the Torah sections. It is interesting to notice that the same rule applied for placing the את from Y’hoshua through Malachi as started by Moses in the Torah and is consistent all the way through. The את is still placed before peoples, persons, places and things, which relate to the covenants. In Y’hoshua 2:10 it speaks about the miracle at the Red Sea, which states, For we have heard את who dried up יהוה את water of the Red Sea before you…implying the working of the miracle of the Red Sea was by יהוה Father with and through את Y’shua (Yah-head). In Y’hoshua 3:9 Y’hoshua gathers the people together to hear instructions and states, And Y’hoshua said to the Children of Israel, come here and hear את the words of יהוה your Elohim…implying the words Y’hoshua is going to tell the people came from יהוה Father through את Y’shua to him by the Yah-head.

Question: Who dried up the waters of the Jordan? Y’hoshua 5:1 makes it clear, את who had dried up יהוה את waters of the Jordan before the Children of Israel…implying again, the TWO working together in ONE SPIRIT as ONE. Concerning the defeat of Jericho in Y’hoshua chapter 6:5-20 Y’hoshua gives instructions stating, when you hear את sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat and the fulfillment in 6:20 states and it came to pass, when hearing, the people את sound of the trumpet that the people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat…implying את blew His trumpet first and the Israelites joined in and brought down the walls, which was nothing short of a miracle by the Yah-head. After the defeat of Jericho 6:27 states; So was יהוה את with Y’hoshua; and his fame was in all the land…implying both יהוה and את were with Y’hoshua. It is interesting to note that Y’hoshua 9:24 and 10:23 have six (6) Aleph/Tav את Symbols in each of those short sentences. In the last chapter of Y’hoshua 24:15 is that famous quote, but as for me and my house, we will serve את יהוה…implying we come before Father though His son Y’shua the Messiah. John 16:23 whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24…Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 14:6 no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
